Description
The peacock among pink flowers is an original work created in watercolor and pencil on canvas board (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). The maximum dimensions of the work, without mat and without frame, are 30 × 40 cm.
This watercolor on canvas board depicts a light blue peacock, elegant and slightly in profile, perched on a flowering branch. The animal’s body is rendered with more delicate blue and turquoise glazes than the previous peacock, while ink and pencil precisely define the eye, beak, and crest, creating an attentive and gentle expression. The long tail flows downward like a cascade of light feathers, rich with yellow and blue eyespots that introduce bright and vibrant reflections; the individual strands of plumage are suggested by quick, overlapping strokes, giving a sense of movement and softness.
Around the peacock, slender branches with small pink flowers and stylized bushes on the ground suggest a spring garden, while the light background, subtly shaded in tones of blue and beige, maintains an airy and suspended atmosphere. A few drops of color and the texture of the canvas board add a light material grain that makes the painting interesting even up close. The 30 × 40 cm format, sold without a mat or frame, makes it versatile: it can be framed in a classic or contemporary style, alone or paired with the other peacock, to bring a bright, feminine, and refined decorative accent to your home.
