Description
“Lavender field at sunset” is an original work created with watercolor, India ink, and pencil on semi-rough paper (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). Maximum external dimensions, including the mat and without a frame, are 30 × 40 cm.
The work captures the stillness of a landscape of purple rows bathed in the light of the quietest hour of the day. In the foreground, long rows of lavender open in perspective, creating a regular corridor that guides the eye toward the horizon. The shades of purple, modulated in deeper and lighter passages, alternate with India ink marks that define the rows and accentuate their rhythm.
In the background, dark hills and a group of distant cypresses close the scene with a sober presence. The sky is veiled by soft clouds streaked with warm, diffused light, while a flock of small birds crosses the air. The twilight light enhances the deep shades of purple and blue, enveloping the entire landscape in an atmosphere of meditative calm.
An intense yet harmonious image that invites contemplation and recalls the pleasure of losing oneself, in mind, among the rows of lavender at sunset. Work sold with a mat, without a frame; ready to be framed.
