Description

Freedom on the Shoreline is an original work created entirely in charcoal on paper (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). Maximum external dimensions, including mount and black frame, are 52 × 72 cm.

The drawing depicts a horse running free along the shoreline, in a vast and silent seascape. The animal is captured mid-gallop, one hoof raised, mane wind-swept, and tail streaming behind. Its dark silhouette stands out against the brightness of the horizon and water, becoming the vital center of the composition.

The wave has just receded from the beach, leaving a smooth, reflective surface on the sand. In this mirror of water, the horse’s reflection appears, slightly blurred and dissolved by ripples: an almost immaterial presence that accompanies the animal’s movement and amplifies the sense of freedom.

The sky, crossed by light, layered clouds, opens above a calm and distant sea line. A few birds fly across the horizon, adding depth and suggesting a natural dialogue between sky, earth, water, and movement. In the foreground, small tufts of sea grass frame the scene, reinforcing the wild character of the beach.

Charcoal enhances the contrast between the horse’s intense silhouette and the delicate nuances in the water and sky. The reflection, imperfect and fragmented, becomes a symbol of a freedom that cannot be contained: the horse runs, the water moves, and the image itself seems to transform before the observer.

An evocative and poetic work, ideal for those who love horses, the sea, and landscapes capable of expressing energy, independence, and a desire for open spaces. The work is sold with a mount and black frame, ready to be displayed.
