Description
Small Abstract Garden 8 is an original work created with watercolor, acrylic, and India ink on canvas-textured paperboard (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). The maximum dimensions of the work, without matting or frame, are 25 × 30 cm.
In this small rectangular format, marks and suggestions compose an inner garden, evoked rather than represented. Soft, transparent washes of color alternate with fuller areas where the acrylic introduces different thicknesses and intensities. Petals, leaves, and landscape fragments seem to emerge and dissolve, giving the viewer the freedom to find personal shapes, flowers, and paths.
The India ink, subtle yet bold, builds a graphic weave that dialogues with the watercolor glazes and acrylic brushstrokes. The layering of techniques creates a rich interplay of textures, alternating smoother surfaces with textured areas, adding depth to the small format.
A contemporary abstract garden, colorful and dynamic, designed as a visual accent capable of bringing a fragment of imaginary nature into any setting, whether alone or paired with other works in the series. Work sold without matting or frame.
