Description
Small Abstract Garden 17 is an original work created with watercolor, acrylic, and India ink on canvas board with newspaper clipping (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). The maximum dimensions of the work, without mat or frame, are 25 × 25 cm.
In this small square format, marks and suggestions compose an inner garden, more evoked than represented. The support was prepared by gluing a local newspaper clipping, which surfaces as a trace of reality beneath the layers of color. Soft, transparent washes of color alternate with fuller areas, where the acrylic introduces different thicknesses and intensities. Petals, leaves, and landscape fragments seem to emerge and dissolve, leaving the eye free to find personal shapes, flowers, and paths.
The India ink, thin yet decisive, builds a graphic texture that dialogues with the watercolor glazes and acrylic brushstrokes. The layering of techniques generates a rich play of textures, alternating smoother surfaces with textured areas, giving depth to the small format.
A contemporary, colorful, and dynamic abstract garden, designed as a visual accent capable of bringing a fragment of imaginary nature into any environment, alone or paired with other works in the series. Work sold without mat or frame.
