Description
Small Abstract Garden 14 is an original work made with watercolor, acrylic and ink on canvas-textured cardboard with newspaper clipping (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). The maximum dimensions of the work, without mat and without frame, are 25 × 25 cm.
In this small square format, marks and suggestions compose an interior garden, more evoked than represented. The support was prepared by gluing a clipping from the local newspaper, which emerges as a trace of reality beneath the layers of color. Soft and transparent color fields alternate with more substantial areas, where acrylic introduces different thicknesses and intensities. Petals, leaves and landscape fragments seem to emerge and dissolve, leaving the eye free to find personal shapes, flowers and paths.
The ink, subtle yet decisive, builds a graphic texture that dialogues with the watercolor washes and acrylic brushstrokes. The layering of techniques generates a rich interplay of textures, alternating smoother surfaces and textured areas, and gives depth to the small format.
A contemporary abstract garden, colorful and dynamic, conceived as a visual accent capable of bringing a fragment of imaginary nature into any space, alone or paired with other works in the series. Work sold without mat and without frame.
