Description
Small Abstract Garden 15 is an original work created with watercolor, acrylic, and India ink on canvas board with a newspaper clipping (2026, Minusio, Switzerland). The maximum dimensions of the artwork, without mat and without frame, are 25 × 25 cm.
In this small square format, marks and suggestions compose an inner garden, more evoked than represented. The support was prepared by gluing a local newspaper clipping, which surfaces as a trace of reality beneath the layers of color. Soft, transparent washes of color alternate with more full-bodied areas, where the acrylic introduces different thicknesses and intensities. Petals, leaves, and landscape fragments seem to emerge and dissolve, giving the viewer the freedom to find personal shapes, flowers, and paths.
The India ink, subtle yet bold, builds a graphic texture that dialogues with the watercolor glazes and acrylic brushstrokes. The layering of techniques creates a rich interplay of textures, alternating smoother surfaces with tactile areas, and gives depth to the small format.
A contemporary abstract garden, colorful and dynamic, designed as a visual accent capable of bringing a fragment of imaginary nature into any setting, alone or paired with other works in the series. Artwork sold without mat and without frame.
