Description
“Golden Textured Petals 2” is an abstract work on canvas board where large embossed shapes, created with strips of crumpled canvas soaked in glue, open like elongated petals on an entirely dotted teal background. The white surfaces, moved by folds and hollows, are crossed by golden inserts that emerge between the textures of the fabric, creating luminous contrasts that change depending on the angle from which the painting is viewed. The movement of the petals, arranged in a fan shape upwards and towards the side, suggests a gesture of opening, almost an enlarged and abstract flower that occupies the entire surface, leaving the dotted background the role of a vibrant and light atmosphere.
The acrylic paint emphasizes the reliefs of the material with glazes and denser touches, while the small light and teal dots scattered on the background recall rain, seeds, or particles of light suspended in the air. The ensemble combines the physicality of the modeled canvas with the lightness of color, transforming the composition into a large botanical detail or an abstract scene inspired by nature, open to many personal interpretations. The black frame encloses and intensifies the contrast between the green of the background, the white of the petals, and the gold, giving the work a contemporary and bold character, ideal as a centerpiece on a wall, alone or in dialogue with other textured works of the same series in smaller formats.
