Description
“Golden Textured Petals 3” is an abstract work on canvas board where large embossed shapes, created with crumpled canvas strips soaked in glue, open like elongated petals on an entirely dotted teal background. The white surfaces, shaped by folds and hollows, are crossed by golden inserts that emerge through the fabric’s weave, creating luminous contrasts that change depending on the viewing angle. The movement of the petals, fanned out upwards and sideways, suggests a gesture of opening, like an enlarged abstract flower occupying the entire surface, leaving the dotted background to act as a light and vibrant atmosphere.
The acrylic paint highlights the material reliefs with glazes and denser touches, while the small light and teal dots scattered across the background evoke rain, seeds, or particles of light suspended in the air. The ensemble combines the physicality of the modeled canvas with the lightness of color, transforming the composition into a large botanical detail or an abstract scene inspired by nature, open to many personal interpretations. The black frame borders and intensifies the contrast between the teal background, the white petals, and the gold, giving the work a bold, contemporary character. It is ideal as a centerpiece on a wall, either alone or in dialogue with other textured works from the same series in smaller formats.
